Day 3 Recap – March 23, 2024

On Saturday, eight Sweet 16 spots were locked.

Of all 622 entries, nine brackets went 8 for 8:
Colin Dill
Gabe Seller
Jordan Parkhurst (twice)
Rob Garcia
Grady Wolford
Scott Peaden
Sean Tarantino
Ben Stipp

Three days and 40 games later, 8-year pool veteran Colin Dill has taken the overall spot. Dill moved three spots to first after going perfect on Saturday night. This is Dill’s first time in his 8-year pool career at the top of the leaderboard.

Immediately behind Dill by half a point is 5-year veteran Gabe Seller who also went perfect on Saturday. Seller moved fives spots from Friday to second overall on Saturday. Seller is one of only two people to pick 82.5% of the games correctly. The other person? Colin Dill.

Rounding out the top three in a tie for third are Justin KaselJordan Parkhurst, and Rob Garcia. They are three points out of first place.

Only one upset took place with the Gonzaga/Kansas game which was chosen by 297 brackets. Otherwise it was a very chalky day.

In our Survivor Pool, we started the day with 24 people. After the chalky day, three people were eliminated.

With 21 people left, one thing to note is Teddy Madden who has a seed usage of 24 points. The next closest is Danny Payne and Emery Brotemarkle with 16.

And remember, past Survivor picks can always be found on the front page.

In the First Family pool, there were no big changes. The Davis family took the lead in the 4-6 division while The Gillock family have a slight lead in the 7-9 division.

In Couple Up, Eddy Brotemarkle and Megan Royer remained in the lead.
