The first game of the tournament brought on an 8/9 upset with Michigan State over Mississippi State, but an even bigger upset took place immediately after.
11-seed Duquesne defeated 6-seeded BYU as the Dukes advance to the next round.
That’s back-to-back upsets to start the tournament.
It didn’t take long for the first major upset of the day.
