32 games. 7 upsets (compared to 2024 when there were 11 upsets in the first round)

After the second night of the tournament, rookie Christin Elson and 2-year veteran Diego Carillo are the new leaders.
Both went an outstanding 30 of 32. It’s a feat that’s only been done five times out of the previous 8,402 brackets. They joined Sarah Coleman, Darin Petrie, Daniel Miller, and Matt Clark who did it in 2017 and Penny Lamb who first accomplished it in 2008.
Elson and Carillo have a slim one point lead over 9-year veteran and former 2022 champion, Damon Rugg, who sits in third place.

In our Survivor Pool, we started the day with 51 people. At the end of the night, only 3 were eliminated following losses by Miss. State and Memphis. Lori Shinkle, Mandy Tyler, and last year’s Survivor champion Nolan Lamb are all out. Opening the doors for a new champion.
Only 48 people remain.
