Day Two Recap – March 20, 2026

32 games. 8 upsets (compared to 2025 when there were 7 and then in 2024 with 11 in the first round)

After the second night of the tournament, 7-year veteran Emery Brotemarkle, was one of three people to correctly select all 8 upsets to put her in sole possession of first place.

Fellow 7-year veterans Nathan Crow and Henry Pilar also went 8 for 8 on upsets but sit in 126th and 633rd place.

22 people alongside Emery went 28 for 32 on the first round games. Two people went 29 for 32, 17-year veteran JoAnn Craven and rookie Taylor Linsey who are currently tied for second place alongside 19-year veteran Danny Payne.

Craven, Linsey and Payne are just a half-point behind Emery.

Craven and Linsey were also one pick away from going 30 for 32 which has only been done 7 times in the previous 9,000+ brackets entered.
